reconciliation of skin
Reconciling the skin that I’m in,
these walls in which I live,
of human,
of life
and decay
of this earth,
the home where I stay.
Peace-seeking,
the war never won.
I am of flesh and blood -
dichotomized:
I destroy and create with the same hands.
A build and rebirth,
human, I am.
The mind lives elsewhere,
boundless to space,
limited by time.
These bones have an Earthly demise,
but none,
does the mind.
