this town feels fake,

plastic cards and plastic grins,

have a nice day served on a fast food plate,

then off to the rest of our daily sins.

bags, bottles, boxes

you can choose the medium but you can’t choose the toxins.

oh, did you think you could just throw that cup away?

throw it under soil, and let it biodegrade?

would you like a bag with that?

"no, my hands work just fine"

keep the plastic for the needy,

i just need more time…

time to tick tock the clock,

turn the hands and put it on lock,

back to yesteryear when plastic wasn’t here,

our oceans were blue, the skies were too.

why did we make the beauty disappear?

idea idea! lets make new resources to use

make it cheap, deadly, plasticky too.

but wait! make the bottle a little smaller,

make the cap shrink if it can,

just for the illusion of us giving a damn.

you don’t have to believe me,

look with your eyes and with your mind,

great pacific garbage patch,

that’s one hell of a find.

this world feels fake,

plastic entertainment and plastic fates.

take me out of this place,

i don’t wanna see one more plastic trait.

can’t burn, burry, or bake it.

sounds like a mistake eh?

after use, it becomes useless,

and we hardly even reuse it.
